Edible Insect Industry and Social Entrepreneurship

After a productive Training of Trainers in Lisbon, the Social Bugs partners are preparing for the next major milestone of our Erasmus+ project. In June and July, we will launch the pilot training course of our “Edible Insect Industry and Social Entrepreneurship” course across Portugal, Romania, and Denmark.

These pilots will test a newly developed 16-hour blended learning program designed to equip participants with the skills needed for social entrepreneurship in the edible insect industry. The curriculum connects insect production with sustainability, circular economy principles, and social impact.

During the pilot phase, participants will explore three main modules:
  • M3: Creating value: Highlighting social innovation, sustainable business practices, dual mission management, and impact measurement.

The training is specifically tailored for aspiring social entrepreneurs looking to enter the edible insect sector, and professionals already active in the industry who want to integrate social and economic activities into their ventures.

For registration in the Portuguese, Romanian, or Danish training course, contact the Social Bugs team.
